EDITOR’S NOTE: You know we always laugh at this section cause it’s always ridiculous. In fact, we don’t really believe in the magic and fairy tale of using pimping lines. Nevertheless, we’ll tell you some real ones in the hopes of passing on the awareness that pimping lines don’t work. But, this version seems to be more about awkward happenings than anything. These definitely give meaning to the aw-kward reference. Let’s give it a whirl!

*** I gave my number to a guy 2 weeks ago and then he never called. The other day I saw him and he told me that I gave him the wrong number. Then we exchanged numbers and he pulled me on the dance floor, held my hand, etc. Now he’s texting messaging me all the time. I’m not sure I believe that he lost my number. ***

AUBREY:

Hmmm, it sounds like he legitimately lost your number, because why else would he call/message you all the time now? Even if he did lie to you and used the wrong number excuse, I wouldn’t worry too much about it, because obviously he is talking to you now. Maybe he was not into you at first, but after talking and dancing with you the second time maybe he became interested. There is really no way to find out, unfortunately. I would definitely watch out for lies in the future though. Because if he did lie about something one time, he is sure to lie again eventually, and that would be a problem.

*** I had a first date with a girl I just met and she didn’t remember my name on the date! ***

AUBREY:

Wow, she didn’t remember your name! Give her a little bit of a break though, especially if you met her while you were out at a club while she was under the influence of alcohol. Or maybe she could just be nervous and forgot. Only time will tell, whether or not she cares enough about you to remember other significant details. If she has trouble remembering other details, either she has a serious medical problem or she just doesn’t care. Otherwise, if she forgot your name one time and that was it, I would give her a break.

*** I met a girl a few months ago that I was attracted too. Then she met my best friend out when I wasn’t around. He showed me the pics from the Mardi Gras parade and I found out it was her. She agreed to just be friends with us both. Then she met my cousin and hooked up with him the first night. I’m scared to find out what happens if she meets any other guys I know! ***

AUBREY:

So, if I’m understanding this correctly, you and your best friend met a girl that you were interested in. But, unfortunately, she only wanted to be friends with both of you. Then, on a later occasion, she met your cousin and hooked up with him? Hmmm, well I would say tough luck buddy. You sound a little bitter that she was not into you. Be thankful that your cousin has met a girl who likes him and wants to lay him. There is someone out there for everyone and obviously, she was just not for you.
